The rising of maple sap from the roots of the sugar maple tree marks one of the first stirrings of spring. Not unlike our own body’s blood and lymph, these rich waters circulate throughout the tree, delivering vital sugars and signaling a new cycle of growth. This root and bark infused syrup is inspired by Southern Folk Medicine and the traditional ingredients used in making spring tonics, or what later became the base for root beer. Traditionally use to purify the blood and facilitate a kind of spring cleaning in the body. Dandelion and burdock root provide gentle liver support, promoting digestion and helping to eliminate accumulated imbalances.
USE: As you would maple syrup, as a sweetener for foods and beverages. Refrigerate after opening.
