Burdock & Apple Brew

Burdock & Apple Brew

Sometime in the last couple of years I began brewing apple tea with scraps left over from processing sauce and pressing cider. I began throwing in whatever miscellaneous autumn ingredients I had on hand and this became a favorite seasonal variety. It is a simple, but deeply heartening, blend that feels grounding and satisfying. I love the complexity of toasted coriander seeds, the depth and earthiness of burdock root, the warming spice of ginger root, and the mild sweetness from the apples. Its an unexpected and incredibly welcome brew to sip while sitting next to the campfire or preparing dinner.
